줄거리
어린 딸과 함께 며칠째 방안에서 굶고 있는 종석은 걸음이 불편한 목디스크 환자이다.

굶고 있을 수만은 없던 종석은 동냥질을 하러 밖으로 나가지만 어쭙잖은 동냥질과 자기 모멸감에 동냥질을 그만둔다.

집으로 돌아온 종석은 강도질을 하기 위해 다시 칼을 들고 나가 이곳 저곳을 돌아다니지만 높은 담들과 닫혀진 대문 앞에 좌절을 한다.

그렇게 돌아다니던 종석은 우연히 대문이 없는 집에 들어섰다가 마음 좋은 할머니에게 물 한잔을 얻어 마시고 거사를 포기한다.

(Jong-suk suffers from a spinal disorder. With his young daughter, he hasn’t eaten anything for several days. He goes out to panhandle, but he is not able to do it. He returns home to get a knife so that he can commit robbery but the walls are too high and the doors are all shut tightly. After the unsuccessful attempts, he happens to get into a house where doesn’t has a gate and meets an old woman who offers him a glass of water.)
