줄거리
사이드 이펙트는 강간으로 징역살이를 하게 된 아들을 둔 한 엄마의 심정을 다룬 영화 입니다.

아들의 흰색 후드티를 빨기 위해 빨래방을 다녀오는 이 여자의 소소한 일상의 반나절을 통해, 범죄자 엄마의 상실감, 자책, 치욕스러움 등이 얽힌 복잡한 감정을 주위 사람들의 시선을 통해 조명합니다.

SIDE EFFECT follows a half-day journey of JANE, the mother whose life is turned upside down by her sons imprisonment for rape. We see her struggle with the gazes of blame from the neighbours and with her own conflicting emotions of shame and self-blame. The film gives an insight into how life continues for those parents whose children have been convicted of serious crimes, and how carrying out the most mundane everyday routine can be a challenge.
