줄거리
시골 한의원으로 병을 고치러 온 현우는 그곳에서 자신이 두려워했었던 시골의 소리들을 파는 소녀를 만난다.

그 소녀에게 소리를 사던 현우는 자신이 가장 두려워했었던 숲 속의 소리 앞에서 갈등을 하게 된다.

현우는 소녀의 도움으로 용기를 내고, 그 숲 속의 소리를 사면서 동시에 그 숲의 주인이 된다.

(Hyun-woo comes to see an oriental doctor in the countryside and bumps into a girl selling sounds of the countryside which he hears of. He buys some sounds from her, but hesitates about the sound of the forest which he used to be scared of the most. He eventually gets to buy the sound of the forest with her support and encouragement and at the same time, owns to the forest.)
연출의도. 성장이라는 것은 내 안에 지니고 있는 세계와 다른 세계와의 만남을 통해서 내 안의 세계가 지니고 있는 영역을 확장시키는 것을 의미한다.

그 성장의 길 위에서 맞이하는 또 다른 세계와의 교감을 이루기 위해서, 우리는 나와 다른 세계의 경계에 위치하는 두려움이라는 숲을 지나쳐야만 한다.

영화 숲은 한 소년이 두려움으로 인식하고 있는 소리들을 온전히 자신의 것으로 받아들이는 과정을 통해서 성장해 나가는 모습을 담고 있다.

(Growing up means to expand the realm of our ego by an encounter with the world of inside and outside of our ego. In order for another encounter on the way to growing up, we have to face with the forest which is called fear and placed on the border of my world and the other world. This film depicts of a boy growing up through an encounter with what he has a fear of and taking it in the end.)
