줄거리
이 작품에서 말하고자 하는 바는 추석과 같은 풍요로움을 느낄 시기의 현재 우리네 부모들의 현실이다.

소외된 부모, 노인들의 모습을 통해 우리가 자각해야 될 것들이 무엇인가 되짚어 보고 다시금 생각하게 한다면 내 의도는 잘 전달되리라고 본다.

(The harvest festival, also called ‘Hangawi’, is our own festival days we thank for and enjoy the wealthy autumn harvest. What we may feel from the title ‘Harvest festival’ are richness and fullness. That might be congenial with our feeling from parent. This film says our parents` reality when they feel the richness like in the harvest festival. My intention is that we have to be conscious of our parents and old people who is treated distantly by their family.)
연출의도. 하루 내내 고향집을 찾을 자녀들의 생각에 빠져들었던 할머니의 잠자고 있는 얼굴을 바라보는 할아버지의 얼굴은 우리가 살고 있는 이 시대의 부모님의 모습이다.

젊은 세대인 본인도 언젠가는 부모가 되고 훗날 자녀로부터 이런 상황에 처하지 않을 거라 장담은 하지 못한다.

(A grandfather looks at his sleeping wife who is tired with waiting for her children all day. The faces are the pictures of our parents in this age. Even though I am young and single now, I will be old and become parents in the future. Nobody knows whether my children treat me like this film.)
